NEW STORY: "A History of Watchmaking" - A Classic (and Comic) Case of Over-Explanation

Do you (or someone you know) have a tendency to overexplain things? I personally suffer from such an affliction - providing a much more detailed response than necessary to answer a simple question. Maybe that's why I like to write.

Well, my new short story (you can read it here) is inspired by that tendency. I was having lunch with a friend a while back, and at a certain point he said, "I'm the type of guy when you ask for the time, I give you the history of watchmaking." I thought it was a funny saying and it set the wheels turning in my head. Eventually, I decided to write a short story that would make that clever phrase quite literal.

So, here it is, "A History of Watchmaking." Here's hoping it gives you a laugh and you learn something along the way!
